Case study

Accenture

January 7, 2026 by

The brief was to create space for senior women leaders to reflect on their development path and design a career they love. We incorporated a 2-hour Permission to Pause workshop into an existing company leadership programme. After an initial pilot we rolled out to 600 senior leaders across 3 markets (Asia, Europe and North America).

We met this brief by using data from the Energy Score Card to highlight that driven motivated leaders also need to rest and build back their energy. This personalised the sessions so that participants could begin to build the reflective muscle needed for their career progression. We designed the workshop as an online retreat, including a 20-minute individual Mind Spa session to give participants a real-time experience of Pause. Group breakouts provided rich discussions and opportunities to connect at a deeper level.

We included some neuroscience and taught practical takeaway tools inviting the group to choose which habit they wanted to include into their new routines. We used Pause Coaches from the local markets to ensure a good cultural fit.

IMPACT

This programme was met with an overwhelming positive response. Participants strongly recommended the Pause programme to be included on an ongoing basis. We continue to provide on-going resources to the participants to embed the change.

We delivered a 2-day virtual team event for a team of 60 in the UK&I. The brief was to provide a non-academic learning experience, bring the team together in a connecting way whilst having space to share business context and 2021 priorities and leaving the team with a personal gift at the end. We met this brief by creating an offline retreat experience online.

IMPACT

“It was a novel concept for our managers, delivered it in simple and relatable way. Danielle brings a presence which is both calming and impactful. I really appreciated the impact that has been felt in the team long after the session, in both practical application and in adding significance to the message that pause is important.”

We delivered an online 30-Day Pause Challenge to call centre staff and operations teams at a UK based Motor Insurance company. The brief was to support the wellbeing of employees who had been working from home for 12 months. The company wanted to support people to cope during a period of fast growth and rapid transformation.

IMPACT

The L&D manager was concerned that this was very different to any other programmes they had ran, however we saw high engagement throughout the challenge which was well attended. Whilst some people found it hard to Pause, this awareness itself had been useful. Others described significant behavior change and new habits formed in the wrap up sessions.

“Using the techniques such as breathing has helped to control my emotions on the job in real time!”

We delivered an online Pause Retreat to a publishing team who are used to working creatively and in close contact. This year the team have been separated by working from home. The brief was to help them reconnect with themselves and each other and reignite their creative spark which we did using simple breathing tools and guided visualisation techniques.

IMPACT

At a time where people were finding it hard to switch off and boundaries more blurred than ever between work and home, participants reported that this was a much-needed session to help them switch off and refresh. They shared that feeling more relaxed had led to more creative output.
